Joshua Kirby #16 - The Old Man's Axe

The old guitar was his dad's, passed down to him, but he was always afraid to play it. The old man hadn't played in years, arthritis claiming his near virtuosity. He was just afraid to break a string or even knock it horribly out of tune. A mere ding in the lacquer would haunt him forever. He knew the old man was just a few aspirin away from reclaiming his old skills. So it just sat there, waiting to be played again. He'd never be as good as his old man, anyway.
